BIO

Started at the end of 1994 at 1803 Gault Ave. in Fort Payne Alabama. Rented from Lester Black the owner of Blacks Furniture. It was very small and soon outgrew it moving just two doors down with two suites and added tee shirt screen printing. I don't remember the year (around 1999) but a fire started next door in a window air conditioner while we were inside. We vacated  and watched the entire block burn down with most of the equipment inside and a inventory of 5000 tee shirts. We bought new equipment and moved to 1915 Gault Ave. North at the corner of 20th Street next to the old Earth Grains bread store. We stayed there about 10 years. After that in 2005 we moved to my mother's old restaurant in Mentone AL at Dessie's Kountry Chef because she downsized and which we could help her. In 2006 we moved again to another larger place at 3324 Main St. East, which was in Rainsville, Al about half way between Fort Payne and Rainsville. We stayed there 11 years and because of rent being raised at a high rate we moved to a building a bank owned at 59 Adelia St. in Rainsville AL. The bank sold the property after about two years and now we are at another larger building with lots more equipment to get the jobs done.

We are now at 2806 Greenhill Blvd NW Suite 212 just in front of the Gas House. Seems like a lot of moving but we have been in business now for 26 years. I can honestly say that we have never been without a sign order during all that time. We try hard to make signs we can be proud of with quality in mind. We have changed with the times. To begin with we only made signs with vinyl lettering for about the first 18-20 years. Now  we do large format printing with several machines and most any sign customers may need.  We have purchased land on Airport Road and have plans to build a building there. We wished that we had the insight to have bought land long before now. The new address will be 2800 Airport Road W. This will be the last move for Cryer'Signs. We hope to be in operation for several more years. Thanks to all the customers to make this possible. We have met many people and enjoy our work. That's what keeps up going. Thanks for reading this short story of the growth of Cryer'Signs. David Cryer Owner.
